I remember in high school listening to Callas, and not understanding why everyone was so crazy about her, but recently I've been listening to her on a regular basis. She is much more of an actress than a singer, every word is understood and sung with so much drama!
I love it, how she clutches herself and feels every movement in the melody with her body. It is truly stunning, and refreshing when we have people like that chick from Britain's Got talent who become so popular for not even being that good. Its like Callas was older than this british chick and sang with more conviction and heart in her voice than that silly british lady... what is her name again? Susan something? its silly, she's silly. Here's the real deal.
